The United States says it has had 15 straight months without any illegal migrants entering the country and has deported more than three million foreigners since President Donald Trump returned to office.
The administration made the claims in a fact sheet seen on the White House website Wednesday outlining actions it says were taken to restore the country’s immigration system.
“President Trump has fulfilled his promise to fix the immigration system, put American citizens first, and protect U.S. citizenship,” the White House said.
In his first week back in office, Trump signed an executive order declaring a crisis at the southern border and taking immediate steps to end what he described as the Biden administration’s “record-shattering illegal immigration” into the US.
“For 15 months in a row, no illegal aliens have been released into the country.
“The Trump administration has deported over 3 million illegal aliens, including thousands convicted of violent crimes,” it said.
The administration also announced it had started a “denaturalization surge” targeting people who obtained U.S. citizenship fraudulently, saying it had filed claims against 88 people who received citizenship but were allegedly ineligible.
It stated that taxpayer-funded benefits had been terminated for more than 1.4 million undocumented migrants who were improperly receiving public assistance and they had been banned from more than a dozen taxpayer-funded healthcare programs.
The White House said the administration had “strengthened visa programs and their screenings and paused visa processing for 75 high-risk countries to protect the homeland and deter overstays.”
It also said the administration had sought to purge tens of thousands of undocumented migrants from voter rolls in several states and was seeking to ensure they could not vote in US elections, which it said was a right reserved for Americans.
The administration also said it had revised the citizenship test to better evaluate applicants’ knowledge of American history, government and values and to ensure they met all eligibility criteria.
It cited two new executive orders signed on August 6, 2026 that seek to end birth tourism and clarify categories of children who are not eligible for birthright citizenship in the wake of the Supreme Court’s ruling in Trump v. Barbara.
