Siminalayi “Sim” Fubara, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for governor in the Rivers state governorship election, is currently in the lead following the announcement of five local governments. Fubura is ahead of Tonye Cole, his All Progressives Congress candidate and closest rival (APC). The Social Democratic Party came in third with 17,068 votes, closely trailing the PDP with 53,786 and the APC with 13,317.
