Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia, the candidate for governorship in Benue state who represented the All Progressives Congress, is currently in the early lead as the results of the governorship election in Benue state are being announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
Following the announcement of results from all eight LGAs, Hyacinth Alia is in the lead. He received 109,073 votes, which was more than the People’s Democratic Party, which received 79,883 votes. The candidate was 5,690 votes behind in the race.
