LifeBank, a health-tech startup that connects hospitals with safe and high-quality medical supplies, has agreed to digitize its supply chain with the Yobe State Drugs and Medical Consumables Agency (YODMA).
The event, which took place on Thursday in Abuja, Nigeria, formalized the relationship between the two parties in order to establish a long-term partnership that will bring innovation to the North East’s last mile.
The YODMA was established in 2020 to procure drugs and medical consumables for resale and distribution to healthcare centers throughout the state.

It has improved the quality of healthcare available in Yobe State since its inception, with other states in the region studying and replicating the model.
LifeBank will use its expertise in deploying technology and mobility solutions in 12 African cities to help YODMA improve its distribution model and response time under the terms of the agreement.
Its goal will be to ensure that YODMA can distribute supplies more quickly and safely thanks to improved technology, ensuring that there are no stockouts of medicines and supplies in healthcare centers and that last-mile delivery in the state is possible.
“We are very excited about this partnership,” LifeBank Founder and CEO Temie Giwa Tubosun said at the signing of the MoU. “It gives us an opportunity to use our tech and innovation to strengthen healthcare centers in the North.”
“As a result, no one will die as a result of a lack of medicine or hospital supplies.” We look forward to putting our experience to work for YODMA in order to help them achieve their objectives.”
Ugochukwu Obiakor, the Country Manager of LifeBank Nigeria, was also present at the signing of the MOU and described it as a strategic partnership.
