Unknown gunmen attack Delta, set fire to Customs truck

Unknown gunmen are said to have attacked security officials and set fire to a Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) truck along Issele-Azagba in Delta State’s Aniocha North Local Government Area (LGA).

The gunmen ambushed the police and vigilantes at the customs crossing, according to reports. On Wednesday evening, an attack took place.

The incident was verified by the police, however no security personnel were killed. The authorities are believed to be on the lookout for the offenders.

According to local media reports, scores of police officers and other security officials have been slain by gunmen in Nigeria since last year.

Critics and opponents have criticized President Muhammadu Buhari’s government for the country’s growing insecurity. They accuse Nigeria’s president of being inept.

They also encourage Nigerians to demand that the government provide appropriate security.
