Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin has been introduced to the people of Oyo State as the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) gubernatorial candidate by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Folarin was introduced to the electorate by Tinubu on Thursday at an APC rally in Ibadan.
There had been rumors that Tinubu was uncomfortable with Folarin’s candidacy, but many of them were disappointed when the presidential candidate raised Folarin’s hands as the APC candidate in the state’s 11th March gubernatorial election, dispelling their theories.
At the rally, Tinubu gave Folarin a party flag after he raised his hand to address the entire audience.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, the Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, and the former governors of Ekiti and Adeboyega Oyetola were some of the prominent members of the APC who attended the event (Osun).
Other APC candidates in the state include Dr. Yunus Akintunde (Oyo Central), Barrister Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli (Oyo South), and Dr. Abdulfatai Buhari (Oyo North).
