President Buhari’s Personal Body Guard Dies of Diabetes

Warrant Officer Lawal Mato, a personal bodyguard of President Muhammadu Buhari died today Tuesday, 21, April 2020. According to presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu Mato died after battling diabetes for three years.

He was said to have been with the President for years even before Mr Buhari won the 2015 elections.

Mr Shehu described him as “very thorough, trustworthy and dependable soldier who carried out his duties with diligence and focus.’’
