Bobrisky also slammed Tonto Dikeh, claiming that she owes him N5 million and that, despite claiming to be a born-again Christian, she still smokes marijuana in her private residence.

Secondus claims that PDP governors were ‘forced’ to join the APC.

Uche Secondus, the National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has claimed that governors who are members of the party are being enticed by the federal government to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).

After Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara defected to the ruling party, Secondus told reporters at a press conference in Abuja yesterday that the party was “delighted.”

Asked why the APC, which had nothing to show for its more than six years in power, was celebrating the poaching of opposition governors as an achievement, he expressed displeasure.

“It is a shame for all of the governors who abandoned the PDP out of fear,” he said. Even though they were intimidated by the instrument of this government, I am pleased to report that the masses in their state, particularly in Zamfara, remained steadfast.

Gov. Bello Matawalle appears to have lost track of how he came to be governor of Zamfara state, and he should be reminded that he is not permitted to defect to any other political party with the statutory mandate granted to the PDP by way of election.

The group said in a statement issued yesterday by its National Publicity Secretary, Emmanuel Yawe, that the case must be handled with caution because of the complex international and national issues involved.

Because of the complex international and national issues involved in this case, we urge the government to exercise caution in handling the situation “According to the statement,

“The most effective course of action is to adhere strictly to the rule of law. We must persuade Kanu and his collaborators that Nigeria is not a failed state and that the rule of law still exists in this country “…..

Matawalle joined the APC “voluntarily,” according to Buhari’s response to Secondus.

Governor Bello Matawalle has been congratulated by President Muhammadu Buhari on his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) (APC).

At the defection ceremony in Gusau yesterday, President Buhari said Matawalle had voluntarily defected, according to a message delivered on his behalf by Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) at the ceremony.

This runs counter to the claim made by the PDP’s national chairman, who claimed that governors who were already members of the party were being coerced into joining the ruling party.

According to Buhari, “I am proud of your timely and wise decision to join the governing party, and our doors are open to other politicians who believe in our vision to rebuild Nigeria.”

Your decision to join our party on your own volition confirms the fact that our agenda for good governance is the only reason why Nigerians are being drawn to the APC because the alternative has failed to attract them.

APC Governors and elected lawmakers across the country were urged by the President to “keep working harder” in order for the party “to maintain its popularity and remain in power beyond 2023.”

It was his way of reminding everyone who has been elected to serve in the party that “your performance at all levels will have a significant impact on the fortunes of the party,” and he added that “party leaders should avoid complacency at all times to continue building the APC from strength to strength.”

“We applaud the Federal Government’s and agencies’ efforts in making this happen, notably the International Police and UK authorities for upholding their duties to Nigeria.

“On the other hand, until the full course of justice is carried out, we remain concerned. Kanu is currently on trial for treasonous crime and bail jumping, as we all know.

“In addition, as a result of his open incitement, he now faces further allegations of encouragement to violence and killings of persons of various ethnicities, particularly northerners, security personnel.”

While Kanu is on trial, the CNG believes the government should resolve the Biafra issue once and for all.
“No one should make the mistake of thinking that the arrest means the Biafran crisis is over.

He continued, “We stand firm in our belief that a referendum must be held to settle this and any other agitations for self-determination from any section of the country.”

Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has vowed to reposition healthcare and educational systems in the State, no matter what it would cost

Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has vowed to reposition healthcare and educational systems in the State, no matter what it would cost. He attributed increase in kidney, liver, and cancer problems among the people to the consumption of substandard, fake and expired drugs.

Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has pledged to reposition the state’s healthcare and educational systems and institutions at whatever cost.

Umahi made the commitment on Tuesday at the Christian Ecumenical Centre in Abakaliki during the launch of the Basic Health Care Provision Fund and State Health Insurance Scheme. He said a lot of false, substandard, and expired drugs were being marketed, especially in the state’s rural districts.

The Governor blamed the rise in renal, liver, and cancer concerns among the public on the use of substandard, counterfeit, and expired medications.
He was disappointed that the state’s health officials were doing little to stop the dreadful trend.

According to him, in the next weeks, there will be peace for peace, difficulty for trouble, and I will reposition the Ebonyi state health system, as well as health institutions and educational institutions.

“If you go to the neighborhoods, you’ll find people selling outdated drugs, poor pharmaceuticals, and phony drugs, and we’ve recently seen a rise in renal difficulties, liver problems, and cancer concerns.

“We weren’t used to this since we eat fresh foods; we shouldn’t have this; and is this king of pharmaceuticals causing it, and I’m wondering what our health-care system is doing.

“You see individuals selling kai kai (local dry gin) mixed with roots, and no one is saying anything. They even offer it using a microphone. Big guys used to have these diseases, but now they don’t; it’s just the poor masses who become sick.

“We must pay close attention to our healthcare and educational systems; it will be peace for peace, problem for trouble in the coming weeks, and I will reposition the Ebonyi state health system, as well as health institutions and educational institutions. Umahi stated, “This is a requirement.”

In an action marked FHC/ABJ/CS/558/2020 filed on May 28, 2020, the Senator representing Imo West Senatorial District sought the court to stop the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and other authorities from investigating him.

The complaint names the EFCC, the Imo State Attorney General, and members of the seven panels established by Governor Hope Uzodinma to investigate prior administrations in the state as respondents.

On Tuesday, however, just the EFCC was represented in court.

Despite the white paper released by the government committees, Maduabuchi informed the court, the latest application aimed to restore the status quo.

“It is odd that the state attorney general, who has been served with processes in the litigation since last year, has not filed anything,” he said.

After the court granted a stay of actions against the panels, the panels promptly hastened their processes and completed their findings, according to the counsel.

Madubuachi stated, “Copies of the white paper issued by the panels were presented in the application.”

He said that the EFCC had always been present in court and had filed a defense.

“They can go to hell for the attorney general and the panels.

He said, “But I know my lord is not utterly impotent.”

G.C. Ofulue, an EFCC lawyer, did not object to Maduabuchi’s application.

The matter was delayed until July 15 for a hearing on the plaintiff’s motion on notice.

He further ordered that the respondents be served with hearing notices.

Eastern Palm University, Ogboko; Royal Spring Palm Hotels and Apartments, Akachi Road, Owerri, Imo; Imo Broadcasting Corporation Staff Quarters, Orji; or Rochas Foundation College, Orji were among the properties cited in the motion.

Plot 5 Naze Residential Layout, as well as all of the properties listed on pages 226 to 272 of the government white paper on the Florence Duruoha Igwe judicial Commission of enquiry into Land Administration in Imo State from June 2006 to May 2019, are among the others.
