Nollywood actor Chijioke Temidayo Nwokafor, known professionally as Cjay, has reportedly died, with actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday announcing the development on social media.
Nkechi shared a video on Instagram on Wednesday showing herself in tears while at a hospital. She said Cjay had been confirmed dead at the facility but did not disclose the cause of his death.
The actress expressed shock over the loss, saying the situation was never part of her plans. She also announced that she would not proceed with the release of her movie, explaining that the development had caused her deep pain.
Cjay was from Awka, Anambra State, but was based in Lagos. He started his professional Nollywood career in 2021 and appeared in several films.
Some of his acting credits include Larry Cold, Mum Overnight, A Day To My Wedding, The Lies She Tell and What Time Left.

The actor’s reported death has added to recent concerns over losses within Nigeria’s entertainment industry, with colleagues and fans expressing grief over the development.
Separately, actor Rykardo Agbor has survived a major car accident in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The Yoruba-language actor shared footage of the incident on his Instagram account and thanked God for preserving his life.
The crash reportedly occurred near the Cornerstone City billboard area along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
However, information about the circumstances that caused the accident, including whether other vehicles or people were involved, has not been disclosed.
Agbor’s survival has attracted messages of gratitude and relief from his followers and colleagues.
