With only four days left in the current administration, Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, the incoming governor of Sokoto State, has named Mallam Abubakar Bawa as his press secretary.
This is stated in a press release that was given to journalists on Thursday and is signed by the secretary of the Transition Committee, Ibrahim Dadi Adare.
According to the statement, after thanking the newly appointed press secretary, the governor-elect gave him additional advice to make use of his extensive experience in carrying out his new duty.
Additionally, he exhorted him to see to it that government initiatives and plans are widely disseminated.
