Shakhtar Donetsk has confirmed that their youth coach was killed while defending Ukraine’s independence.
“One of our employees was killed; he was a children’s coach,” Shakhtar CEO Serhiy Palkin confirmed to Mirror UK on Thursday evening.
“He was hit by a Russian bullet fragment.”
This comes just two days after two Ukrainian footballers were killed in the conflict, according to reports.

Remember that last Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered his troops to invade Ukraine, sparking a bloodbath in Eastern Europe.
