In Abuja, the capital of Nigeria, gunmen who are thought to be bandits have killed two people and kidnapped a large number of others.

It was discovered that the gunmen attacked Munu, a community in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) that is part of the Abaji area council, at around 1 pm on Tuesday.

A source claims that the gunmen looted a drink joint and a provision store as well during the hour-long operation.

About 30 minutes after the operation, some mobile police officers stationed in our neighboring community of Rubochi—where a Federal Government College is located—visited us and made a commitment to return for fact-finding, the source continued.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the FCT, DSP Josephine Adeh, had not yet responded to a press inquiry as of the time of publication of this report.

Apart from Kuje, where there have been a number of abductions in the past, communities in Abaji have recently experienced a number of attacks and kidnappings.
