At the Government House in Enugu, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State signed the anti-open grazing bill into law.
The Enugu State House of Assembly recently passed a bill prohibiting open grazing, regulating cattle ranching, and for other related purposes.
After the bill was passed, the House Leader, Rt. Hon. Ikechukwu Ezeugwu, explained that it would be referred to as the “Prohibition of Open Grazing and Cattle Ranching Law of Enugu State” after the governor’s signature.

With Gov. Ugwuanyi’s signature on this bill, the state’s security and peace are expected to improve.
