The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for governor of Enugu State in 2023, Uche Nnaji, and the All Progressives Congress (APC) appealed the Supreme Court’s decision to reinstate Peter Mbah as the election’s victor.
According to a source, a five-judge panel of the supreme court, presided over by Justice Tijani Abubakar, found that the legal team for the APC and Nnaji submitted an invalid brief of argument and failed to persuade the judge with strong arguments as to why the appellants’ inadequate brief should be accepted.
