Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, a former governor of Borno state, has withdrawn his candidacy for National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Sheriff stated in Abuja on Sunday that the zoning arrangement adopted by the party for the convention disqualifies him for the position.
The office was assigned to the North Central zone by the APC.
Sheriff, who hails from the Northeast, has stated that if the party makes any changes to the zoning arrangement, he will run again.
