While dismissing the thought of running for president in 2023, Rotimi Amaechi, the Minister of Transportation, requested supporters to give him money rather than the presidency.
Remember that a group called Amaechi Vanguard in the United States of America/Canada pushed the All Progressives Congress to nominate Amaechi as the party’s consensus presidential candidate for 2023, according to The PUNCH.
In the same vein, Governor Nasir El-Rufai said that he would only run for president in 2023 if President Muhammadu Buhari persisted, either as a presidential candidate or as a running partner for Amaechi.
In response to these events, Amaechi said that he merely needed money to exist, not the presidency.
“The folks who want me to run for president in 2023 should simply give me the money,” he remarked on Arise TV. To stay alive, I need money.”
According to sources, Amaechi’s presidential campaign posters were spotted multiple times in Eagle Square in Abuja, where the All Progressive Congress’s National Convention was held.
Other posters were seen, including those of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the former Governor of Lagos State, and David Umahi, the Governor of Ebonyi State.
