Residents of Bogoro Local Government Area in Bauchi State are terrified after the abduction of a 40-year-old woman, Hajiya Kadijah Audu Ardo of Tsamiya village in the local government’s Boi area, on Monday night.

The woman and her baby were allegedly kidnapped in the middle of the night by heavily armed gunmen while her husband was away from home and taken to an unknown location.

The woman and her baby were kidnapped and taken to an undisclosed location on Monday night, according to a statement released by the Joint Task Force stationed at Boi on Tuesday.

“At around 12 a.m., villagers reported to our office that one Kadijah Audu Ardo had been kidnapped by heavily armed gunmen.”We quickly mobilized our resources and moved into the neighborhood.” “Right now, we’re doing everything we can to save the woman’s and her baby’s lives,” the statement said in part.

Mr. Joel Tuta, a resident of Tsamiya village in the area, told journalists that people in the area are now living in fear as a result of the abduction.

“We’ve been living in fear since this incident happened yesterday,” he says (Monday). Khadija and her baby were kidnapped in the middle of the night by gunmen.”

Mallam Audu Ardo, the victim’s husband, said he was not at home when the gunmen broke into his house and kidnapped his wife and child. He then pleaded with the kidnappers to let his wife and child go, claiming that they were both innocent.

“I went to one of the nearby villages to see my cows and decided to spend the night there.” I had no idea what was about to happen.

“I wasn’t home when they arrived. I’m pleading with the kidnappers to release my wife and her child. “They’re not guilty,” Ardo pleaded.

Mr. Bala Ibrahim Likita, the village chief of Boi, expressed shock at the incident, saying it was the first time something like this had happened in his domain.

“I’m shocked that kidnappers have gained access to my domain for the first time,” he said.Attempts to reach the Bauchi State Police Command’s spokesman, SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, for comment on the abduction were unsuccessful as of the time of filing this report.
