The final peace agreement will be signed on Wednesday by the presidential candidates of all political parties, ahead of the general elections in 2023 on Saturday.
According to a report, the peace agreement aims to put an end to thuggery and hate speech.
Party leaders should encourage their supporters to abstain from violence before, during, and after the elections in order to deter violence.

The National Peace Committee organized an agreement in Abuja in 2022 and 2023 that was signed by all of the candidates and the national chairman chairmen of their parties.
Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi of the Labour Party, Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party were some of the candidates who signed the agreement (NNPP).
Other contenders included Omoyele Sowore of the African Action Congress, Hamzat Al-Mustapha of the Action Alliance, Sunday Adenuga of the Boot Party, and Chichi Ojei of the Allied People’s Movement, who was the only female in the race (APM).
The agreement was also signed by Dan Nwanyanwu of the Zenith Labour Party, Yabagi Sani of the Action Democratic Party, Dumebi Kachikwu of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), and Christoper Imumolen of the Accord Party.

The election on February 25 will feature candidates from 18 recognized political parties.
