The Tinubu Support Group (TSG) has been chastised by a pro-Yahaya Bello group for a statement it made about the Kogi State governor.
In an interview, Yahaya Bello asked Bola Tinubu, the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, to drop his presidential ambitions.
While claiming that whatever pact Tinubu has with Buhari isn’t binding, Yahaya Bello urged the former Lagos governor to hand over power to his “children.”
The TSG, enraged by the governor’s remarks, called him a failure and a disgrace to the youths.
Bello should seek forgiveness from God and the Kogi people for his failure as governor, according to the pro-Tinubu group.
Governor Yahaya Bello to President Yahaya Bello (GYB2PYB) responded by claiming that the pro-Tinubu group was unaware of what was going on in Kogi State.
The GYB2PYB described TSG’s statement as a stain on the struggles of Nigerian youths in a statement issued by its director, Oladele Nihi.
“Our attention has been drawn to a viral report on social media by a group masquerading as Tinubu Support Group, and it is imperative that we set the records straight so that the public is aware of the realities on the ground,” the group said.
“The Tinubu Support Group’s pettiness is outrageous and abhorrent. It is a stain on the struggles of Nigerian youths who are doing everything they can to take over the country’s driver’s seat and fit into the country’s power corridors.
“One could easily forgive TSG’s director, Comrade Ibrahim’s, high level of ignorance because it’s clear he’s unaware of what’s going on in and around Kogi State.
Governor Bello, he claimed, owed workers in the state and, as a result, should not be considered for the country’s highest office.”
While describing Bola Tinubu as a product of a bygone era, the group requested that the TSG arm itself with information before attempting to sell its candidate.
According to the pro-Bello group, the governor of Kogi is not only paying workers their full salaries, but also providing grant-in-aid health insurance schemes to workers in the state.
“Governor Yahaya Bello is busy completing several road projects across the state’s three senatorial districts,” according to the group.
“The state capital is currently undergoing a massive transformation that is unlike anything seen in previous administrations.
“Lokoja, the Kogi State capital, was recently ranked as the world’s fourth fastest growing city.
“Because Kogi State is the safest state in Northern Nigeria, and one of the safest in the country, the United States designated it as a safe zone for its citizens.

“As an organization, we refuse to let people like Comr. Ibrahim and his ilk drag the country into oblivion, denying us growth by refusing to let the old fishes try new waters.
“We therefore advise that adequate research be carried out before a so-called Director General of a group supporting one of the country’s most highly decorated political icons comes out to talk low on someone’s personality, and that ejaculate without a valid backing be avoided.”
