Mrs. Oluwaseyi Akinfolarin, the wife of the soldier who shot her husband dead at a detention center in Ondo State, has demanded the soldier’s capture and prosecution.
A soldier working at the INEC collation center in Owena Ayetoro, Idanre local government area, is accused of shooting her husband, Akinlabi Akinfolarin.

When he was killed, the deceased was one of the supporters accompanying Hon Festus Akingbaso, the winner of the House of Representatives seat for the Ifedore/Idanre Federal Constituency, to receive his Certificate of Result.
According to reports, he was shot following an altercation with security personnel.
However, in a conversation with journalists, his wife claimed that her late husband was not the political miscreant or thug that had been portrayed in the media.

“My husband was a peace-loving man who harbor no grudges against anyone,” she said. Prior to his passing, we spoke, and he assured me that everything was fine. Surprisingly, the next call I received informed me that he had been killed by a soldier.
