Why I broke up with Farida Sobowale – Odulaja, her estranged spouse

Farida Abdulkabir, also known as Farida Sobowale, the CEO of House of Phreedah Body Care, has an estranged spouse named Demola Odulaja. Demola Odulaja has provided an explanation for his split from the Lagos socialite after roughly two months of their grandiose wedding.

In an interview with a Yoruba social commentator named ArewaTopeFamous on Tuesday via Instagram Live, Odulaja said that among other things, Sobowale’s alleged promiscuity, lying, and covetousness were factors in the break-up.

The PUNCH had previously reported that after the marriage failed, Sobowale nearly fell into the lagoon at the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos before being stopped on Thursday.

Sobowale claimed that the aftermath of her failed marriage was too much for her to handle, which led to her decision to take her own life.

However, Odulaja said that despite their long-lasting relationship (20 years), which had grown unstable due to her “unrestrained and promiscuous way of living,”

He remembered a time when Sobowale had simultaneous romantic relationships with him and several other guys before they wed.

The London-based businessman further claimed that Farida routinely and even unjustifiably paid a visit to his brother, who lived nearby, and even lingered there for hours.

When asked about Sobowale’s accusation and gigolo moniker, Odulaja responded, “I am quite affluent. I occupy a home with 22 bedrooms in Gbagada.

I’m not a gigolo. I come from a wealthy family and have been travelling in first class for a long time; people in London are familiar with me,” he continued.

“Farida met me in Lagos in 2010 after I returned to Nigeria from London in 2009,” he continued. She began touring after I took her to China in the same year to launch an importation firm, which of course was successful.

Additionally, he insisted that he had romances with Sobowale when she was still wed to her ex-husband, Tunde Sobowale, for whom she had three children. However, he remained silent about the supposed N100 million wedding that she reportedly paid for herself out of her own pocket.
