President Bola Tinubu will prevail at the tribunal on Wednesday, the presidency has expressed confidence in him.
On September 6, during a live broadcast, the Presidential Elections Petitions Tribunal would announce its decision regarding the complaints made against President Tinubu by Atiku Abubakar of the PDP and Peter Obi of the Labour Party.
In response to the news, the spokesperson for the president, Ajuri Ngelale, said that his principal is not under any duress and that the tribunal would confirm Tinubu’s electoral victory.
The President feels there is no need to intimidate court officials. He doesn’t see the need to cast doubt on the integrity of judicial officials; he believes in the sanctity and integrity of the Nigerian judicial system, and he thinks the wonderful men and women on the panel would base their conclusions only on the evidence in front of them, Ngelale smirked.
President Tinubu, he claimed, will accept the tribunal’s ruling and endeavor to improve the nation’s institutions.
No matter the verdict’s outcome, Tinubu “will continue to ensure that he plays his bit and ensures that our institutions continue to be respected, not just by him but by all actors,” Ngelale said.
Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) are all challenging Tinubu’s election.
