We’ll prioritize bills, laws pertaining to people with disability – Senate

To ensure that people with disabilities are included in national operations, Senate President Godswill Akpabio has declared that the National Assembly will give priority to proposals and laws pertaining to them.

Akpabio made this statement on Wednesday in Abuja during his speech at the celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

Under the theme “Renewing Hope Together for Disability Inclusive Societies,” the National Commission for Persons Living with Disabilities organized the 2023 observance of the Day.
Governments everywhere have worked incredibly hard, in Akpabio’s opinion, to create a culture that celebrates diversity and the inclusion of individuals with disabilities.

In order to assist Nigeria become more inclusive, he clarified, the Day offers an essential chance to study international best practices.
