WAEC unveils ‘EDUSTATS’ new database platform

West Africa Examination Council (WAEC), a regional testing organization, has unveiled a platform that enables access to reliable data and offers solutions for the educational sector.

Head of National Office, Nigerian WAEC, Mr. Patrick Ehidiamen Areghan, stated during a ceremony at the WAEC Office in Lagos that the new product was created to ease stakeholder manual access to data, enhance the delivery of services, and increase revenue for the Council.

According to Areghan, his experiences in 2018 in the US were the inspiration for the database platform. The data base created by Sigma Technologies would revolutionize the educational sector and serve as a research tool, he continued, for a fee similar to the Digital Certificate introduced last year.

“It was created to offer stakeholders, including researchers, funding organizations, governmental organizations, school administrators, and parents, a dependable platform that provides educational insights gathered from various sources and delivered in streamlined graphs, summaries, and dashboards that help them improve their decision. The main advantage of the EDUSTAT by WAEC platform is having access to a thorough Interactive Web Report, he said.

The new world is smarter and more instantaneous, he continued, as you are all aware. No two methods of accessing, compiling, interpreting, or presenting statistical data analysis can be the same.

“Businesses and organizations alike need every advantage they can get to improve service delivery because of the rapidly changing markets, economic turbulence, shifting political landscape, customer focus, and even the global pandemic, which has increased the demand for statistical analysis among researchers for fact analysis and findings.
