Uzodimma to South East: Embrace APC to Connect with Central Power

Hope Uzodimma, the governor of Imo State, has called on politicians in the South East to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Governor Uzodimma reportedly stated that the South East could only fully benefit from the federal government if it joined the ruling party.
At Saturday’s APC South East Leaders’ Consultative Meeting in Enugu, he made this statement. In order to win over every region, he urged the party leaders to band together and work together.

Francis Nwifuru, the governor of Ebonyi State; Chief Benjamin Kalu, the deputy speaker of the House of Representatives; Anyim Pius Anyim, the former president of the Senate; Senator Orji Uzor Kalu; and Chief Uche Nnaji, the minister of innovation, science, and technology, were among those present at the meeting.

The fact that current governors in other geopolitical zones are now joining the APC must have caught your attention. The Southeast will be extremely near to the corridors of power by joining the APC, which is in command of the central government in Nigeria and other subnational governments, he stated.
The APC Governors Forum Chairman stated that the party and its South East stakeholders were dedicated to furthering the region’s interests.

The goals of the productive interaction were to strengthen party institutions, increase unity, and match our grassroots mobilization with our overarching political goals.

“We intentionally uphold the progressive principles of our party while making sure the South East maintains a strong link with the national government. This relationship is crucial for our region’s socioeconomic development and goes beyond politics.

Our region now holds important roles in national leadership, demonstrating the tangible results of our modest efforts thus far. We believe there will be even more chances in the future. The development of the South East continues to be our ultimate objective,” he continued.
