Ukrainian Forces Kill Russian Major-General Andrei Sukhovetsky

According to CNN, Russian Maj. Gen. Andrei Sukhovetsky was slain.

According to a statement from the Novorossiysk city council, Sukhovetsky was murdered while fighting in Ukraine.

Sukhovetsky, the deputy commander of the Russian Ground Forces’ 41st Combined Arms Army, died “while completing a combat mission during a special operation in Ukraine,” according to the authorities.

According to the statement, he previously served in the Russian military during operations in the North Caucasus and Syria.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian military claimed to have defeated a Russian regiment and killed the regiment’s leader, Col. A. Zakharov.

They were believed to have accomplished the feat at Brovary, which is located northeast of Kyiv.

“The leader of the occupier’s regiment, Colonel Zakharov, was liquidated,” the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense reported on Thursday.
