Tunji Disu was sworn in by President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday afternoon as the 23rd Inspector-General of Police (IGP).
During the occasion, which was held in the State House’s Council Chambers in Abuja, the president also swore in two commissioners from the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) and six commissioners from the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).
Ministers, senior government officials, and members of the appointees’ families attended the ceremonies, which took place before to the first Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in 2026.
Following the swearing-in ceremony, the FEC was launched with a sizable number of council members present.
Vice-President Kashim Shettima, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, Chief of Staff to the President, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, National Security Advisor (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, and Head of the Federation’s Civil Service, Mrs. Esther Walson-Jack, are among those present.
There are also the majority of ministers present.
