Hours after Latifat Tijani won Team Nigeria’s first gold medal in the same race in the category of 45 kilograms, she won.
Omolayo, who broke a world record at the 2016 Rio Paralympics in Brazil, where she lifted 138k gold, set another 141kg world record in Tokyo.
In her first attempt she lifted 135kg and in the second, 138kg before she lifted 141kg in the third lift to win gold.
Her 135k opening lift was good enough for a gold medal.
The second and third places were Natalila Oliinyk of Ukraine and Vera Vera of the Russian Paralympic Committee (RPC).
Nigeria has won two gold medals and two bronze in the same event yesterday.
Although Latifat Tijani and Bose Omolayo are listed in Tokyo as Nigerians, Olaitan Ibrahim and Lucy Ejike are bronze medallists for Team Nigeria.

As in the media last night, Team Nigeria was 27th on the medal table.
The United States has a 3rd place with 15 gilded, 16 silver and 9 bronze medals, while the Russian Paralympic Committee (RPC) is fourth with 15 gold, 9 silver, and 28 bronze medals. China has a leading position in the world with 46 gold, 29 silver, and 29 bronze, while the UK is second with 23 gold, 19 silver, and 18 bronze.
