Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s nominee for president, has asked Mahmood Yakubu, the head of the Independent National Electoral Commission, to direct the election’s collation officers to upload the results to the INEC server right away.
According to Mr. Abubakar, this is now necessary to thwart some governors who are attempting to tamper with the outcomes of the local government collation level.
Any attempt to undermine the will of the people, as freely expressed in their votes from yesterday, would be a disservice to Nigerians and a negation of democracy, Mr. Abubakar said.
