Tinubu names 3 new NUPRC Executive Commissioners

With the approval of the senate, President Bola Tinubu has authorized the appointment of three new Executive Commissioners to the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) and the redeployment of one present Executive Commissioner.

This information is disclosed in a statement released by Akuri Ngelale, the President’s Special Advisor on Media and Publicity.

The appointed officials are Mr. Babajide Fasina — South West — Executive Commissioner, Economic Regulation & Strategic Planning; Mr. Enorense Amadasu — South South — Executive Commissioner, Development & Production; and Mr. Bashir Indabawa — North West — Executive Commissioner, Exploration & Acreage Management. Dr. Kelechi Ofoegbu — South East — Executive Commissioner, Corporate Services & Administration (Redeployed).

According to Ajuri’s statement, the President authorized the reorganization and replacement of these positions based on his comprehensive evaluation of all sector-related factors, with the goal of creating a regulatory environment and industry culture that promotes care and standards-based business practices.
