Former Lagos State Governor, Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu, has commiserated with the state’s Commissioner of Police, CP. Hakeem Odumosu, over the passing of his mother, Mrs. Sikirat Odumosu.
After a brief illness, Ma Odumosu died at the Babcock University Teaching Hospital on Thursday at the age of 88.
Tinubu prayed for the repose of the soul of Ma. Odumosu and beseeched the Almighty Allah to comfort Odumosu and others left behind by his mother.
Tinubu’s media office released the condolence letter in Lagos yesterday.
Tinubu, who is also the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, said in the emotional letter: “By way of this letter, please accept my deepest condolence over the recent passing of your mum, Alhaja Sikirat Odumosu, at 88.

“It’s always difficult when one of our parents, especially our mothers, abandons us. I know how it feels because I went through it when my mother died.
“But take comfort in the fact that Mama lived to be a ripe old age, which is something we always pray for when it comes to our parents. Her life, I understand, was devoted to Allah’s worship and service to humanity.
“We are grateful to God that Mama left behind deserving children like you and your siblings. Almighty Allah, grant her Aljanna Firdaus, is my prayer.”
“May He also comfort you and your other siblings, and give strength to all those left behind by Mama.”
