President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has told international investors that their funds will be repatriated in a predictable manner, as well as that the tax system will be simplified.
The President made the guarantee on Friday at the State House in Abuja, where he received letters of credence from Hungarian Ambassador Lorand Endreffy, Rwandan High Commissioner Christophe Bazivamo, and Ukrainian Ambassador to Nigeria Ivan Kholostenko.
As they carry out their duties in the country, he urged them to prioritize the exploration of new frontiers of economic relations that would be mutually beneficial.
When he met with Rwanda’s High Commissioner, the President stated that the long-standing concerns about stuck cash were being addressed, and that the funds will be handled swiftly for release.

“On the continent, we are one family. We shall keep pushing for democracy and good governance. I shall maintain an open door policy, and the Foreign Minister and Chief of Staff will also be available. To be clear, we are already working on issues of double taxes, which will be properly simplified to promote corporate growth. “Nigeria is home and a safe haven for investors,” the president stated through his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, in a statement.
According to Rwanda’s High Commissioner, the Rwandan government is ready to strengthen bilateral relations with Nigeria through new visa regulations and trade agreements.
At the occasion, Tinubu urged Hungary’s Ambassador to investigate all potential for partnership, particularly in agriculture and food security, as well as how to harness the country’s technological experience.
“Many thanks for looking after our students in your country. We are a large country with enormous potential for long-term economic prosperity. “We are eager to improve relations, particularly in agriculture and food security,” added the President.
The Hungarian ambassador praised the President for his daring and strategic initiatives to reposition the Nigerian economy, naming education, agriculture, food security, security, and medical technology as areas of collaboration.
“My Prime Minister always says that our relations are founded on mutual respect,” he explained.
Tinubu also assured the Ukrainian Ambassador that Nigeria will always strive for global peace and harmony.
“Our prayers are with you. We will continue to advocate for good government and democracy,” said the President.
