Timaya, a Nigerian music star, has been detained by Nigerian police officers.

Timaya was taken away on Thursday morning, for an alleged ‘Hit and Run’ incident.

Osinubi Omowumi, claiming to be the victim’s sister, took to Instagram to accuse the musician of ramming his car into her sister after she challenged him for causing damage to her vehicle.

Timaya was seen being led to a waiting police van by officers in a video that has gone viral on social media.

Omowumi went on to say that the singer came dangerously close to killing the victim, and when he was asked to assess the damage, all he asked for was her phone number.

Since then, the victim has been admitted to the hospital, and her sister has shared a video showing the extent of her injuries.

The victim’s car was also damaged, and the sister claims that all attempts to contact Timaya were futile because he continued to block people who contacted him on social media about the incident.
