On Monday, three persons were killed when a vehicle lost control and slammed into a building in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.
An unregistered Mack truck was involved in the incident, which happened at 2:30 p.m. in the Imepe neighborhood of Ijebu-Ode.
The event was confirmed by the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE).
“According to eyewitness account, the Mack truck, loaded with granite, was coming from Ago-Iwoye Quarry axis, inbound Ijebu-Ode, around Lagos Garrage axis, at Imepe, when the truck suddenly lost control, due to too much speeding and reckless driving, and entered a building by the roadside, killing a motorcycle rider, a woman and her daugther,” said TRACE spokesman Babatunde Akinbi

The corpses of the slain victims have been deposited to the General Hospital’s mortuary, according to Akinbiyi, while the car is still being retrieved from the room it crashed into.
“Unfortunately, the truck driver and the motorboy fled to avoid being lynched by an enraged mob,” Akinbiyi said.
