The National Universities Commission has approved Ebony’s Medical Science Varsity

The King David University of Medical Sciences in Ebonyi State has been approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC), making it the 197th university in the country.

A statement issued on Tuesday stated that the university was established with a vision and mission that are consistent with the Nigerian National Health Policy and Strategy, which is focused on achieving universal health coverage for all Nigerians. The university is designed to meet the manpower requirements for addressing the challenge of human resources for health in accordance with new global realities and trends that are consistent with the Sustainable Development Goals.”

University of Uburu, which is located in the Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, was established by the administration of Governor Dave Umahi. It is a public research university.

Medicine and Surgery, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Health Policy and Health Systems, Hospital Administration, Dentistry, Optometry, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology/Parasitology, and Biomedical Engineering are just a few of the courses available at the university.
