Tensions are rising in the Dobi community of the Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT following the shooting death of a farmer, Sule Motunye Dabena.

Yakubu Dabena, Sule’s brother, stated that the incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon while Sule was working on his farm.

“The family called him on his phone to find out why he was stuck on the farm until 6:30 p.m.,” he explained, “but his phone, which rang, went unanswered.”

So we, the family, gathered vigilantes and marched to the farm, where we discovered his body in a pool of his blood.”

DSP Adeh Josephine, a spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, did not respond to an SMS inquiry about the incident.
