Former Chief of Army Staff Tukur Buratai, who served as Nigeria’s ambassador to the Benin Republic, has urged Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu in bringing his Renewed Hope program to fruition.

In response to the Supreme Court’s ruling on Friday in Abuja, which upheld Tinubu’s election as the legitimate winner of the presidential election on February 25, Buratai issued the call in a statement.

In a noteworthy move, he added, the top court rejected the arguments made by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party, ruling in favor of President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He claims that the verdict unequivocally shows that the court considered the APC and President Tinubu’s arguments to be persuasive.

The choice could have a big impact on how politics are shaped going forward and how President Tinubu leads the country in terms of governance and policy.

“I am calling on all Nigerians, especially those in the political sphere, to kindly accept the Supreme Court’s ruling and show their support for President Tinubu.”

“Our nation’s stability and advancement depend on us coming together behind our duly elected leader.

He said, “By putting aside our differences in politics and personal lives, we can work together to improve our nation.”
