The entire renovation of a few elementary and secondary schools in the mining communities of Ego and Agaza in the state’s Kokona Local Government Areas has been approved by Abdullahi Sule, the governor of Nasarawa State.

Black Gem New Energy firm Limited, a local mining firm, is carrying out the project as part of its community development programs in the impacted villages.

The company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects include building classroom blocks, fencing, and renovating elementary and high schools in the Agaza and Ego areas.

According to Governor Sule, if the schools’ construction is finished, the local educational system will be of higher quality.

John D.W. Mamman, the Commissioner for Education, spoke on behalf of the governor, who praised the mining firm for the admirable effort.

Sule urged the villages that benefited to use the schools to send their children to receive a western education.

The governor reaffirmed the administration’s ongoing dedication to implementing various policies and initiatives that directly impact the education sector.

Daniel Ogah Ogazi, the member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly for Kokona East Constituency, praised Governor Sule for drawing in investors to the state through mining operations.

The company’s presence in the area, according to the Traditional Ruler of Agwada, is a good sign for the locals because their arrival has begun to produce positive outcomes through the construction, renovation, and fencing of the schools, which will greatly aid in bolstering government initiatives in the State’s education sector.

Mr. Andy Zhong, the company’s managing director, expressed gratitude to the community and the governor for creating an environment that allowed them to operate in the area. He also stated that the company will carry out its responsibilities efficiently and fulfill all of its corporate social responsibility and community development agreements.

Agbawu M. Agbawu, the chairman of the Kokona Local Government Council, has earlier praised Black Stone New Energy Company Limited for their admirable local development initiatives.
