SUBEB chair declares candidacy for Oyo South in Senate 2023

As a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, Executive Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board, has intimated that he is keen to consolidate on Gov Seyi Makinde’s road map to faster development in Oyo state.

While officially registering his interest to run for the Oyo South senatorial seat at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Secretariat in Molete, Ibadan, Dr. Adeniran dropped this clue.

The PDP senatorial candidate stressed that the time has come to assure good representation, which he is willing to do now that he has decided to run for the Oyo South Senatorial seat on the PDP platform.

Dr. Adeniran stated that if elected, he will establish a rigorous feedback mechanism within the Ibadan and Ibarapa zones in order to further consolidate Governor Seyi Makinde’s road map to faster growth.

“I am finally certain that God has given me permission to run for office.” As a result, I respectfully suggest that you agree with the vision. While ensuring physical growth in our Senatorial district, I would also protect constituent interests and establish a regular feedback mechanism,” he stated.

“The reason I’m contesting is to avail the people of the Senatorial District of my service to provide quality representation and to let them see an established feedback mechanism which is supposed to be between the constituents and their legislator, as well as to contribute to the growth of infrastructure in the senatorial district so as to assist what the Oyo State Government is already doing in the area of education, health, and other infrastructural development,” Dr Adeniran added.

“I’m here at the Peoples Democratic Party’s Oyo State PDP state secretariat to officially inform the party and proclaim my interest in running for senator in the Oyo South senatorial district, as well as to make an official proclamation to the world that I’ll be running in the upcoming election.” Given that the party has already established criteria for nominating candidates for the 2023 general elections, I believe it is appropriate to come out in the open and tell the entire people of Oyo South senatorial district that I am interested in running for Senator in that senatorial district.”

“Earlier before now,” the PDP Oyo South senatorial candidate stated, “I have undertaken consultation in all nine local government areas in the Oyo South senatorial district.”

“In accordance with the program that has been designated for this particular procedure, I have met with the party leaders in all nine local government areas, as well as the executives and local government Chairmen in all of these local governments…”
