The curfew imposed on Jos North Local Government has been reduced from a 24-hour curfew to dusk to dawn.
During a statewide broadcast on Monday morning, Lalong revealed this.
Because of this, “The curfews will be enforced from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. each day starting on Monday, August 30th, 2021.
Until further notice, Jos South and Bassa Local Government Areas will observe their curfew from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.”
However, he advised people not to make threats or engage in criminal activity, saying security forces have been told to take action against anyone who causes trouble.

During a speech in Jos North and Bassa local government areas, the governor declared that, “In spite of efforts to address insecurity in the State, there are still isolated attacks in some areas.”
He explained that these measures would include permanent checkpoints in Jos North that would be placed in high-risk areas; an increase in uniform and plain cloth personnel, and constant observation of residents.
