According to reports, the Super Eagles were impressive throughout the group stage, winning all of their games to take the lead in their group.

In December 2021, Eguavoen was named interim coach for the Eagles, replacing sacked Gernot Rohr.

The 56-year-old former player has since demonstrated his ability by leading the national team to nine maximum points in the competition’s group stage.

Many of the team’s footballers have praised Eguavoen for granting them newfound freedom and credited him with bringing a breath of fresh air to the group.

Milovan Rajevac, the coach of Ghana’s national football team, has reportedly been fired by the Ghana Football Association.

According to reports, Rajevac’s problems began with the Ghanaian FA after Ghana failed to win the 2021 African Cup of Nations, or AFCON.

Following Serbia’s humiliating performance in the ongoing AFCON tournament in Cameroon, the country’s Sports Ministry called for the Serbian tactician’s dismissal in an emergency meeting on Friday, January 21.

According to African Sports Today, the FA took a long time to make a decision on Rajevac, but the country’s Sports Ministry was adamant and won the battle over the Serbian’s future.

It was recalled when Rajevac led Ghana to the 2010 AFCON finals and the 2010 World Cup quarterfinals in his first spell with the Black Stars.

His second spell, however, did not go as planned, as he led Ghana to the AFCON 2021 exit door.
