Bandits terrorizing Shiroro communities and surrounding areas in Niger State have finally met their match.
Hunters stormed a village in Magami, between the Shiroro and Rafi Local Government Areas, killing a large number of outlaws.
It was discovered that the bandits who established camps in the axis used a settlement near a river as a hideout.
An intelligence officer told PRNigeria that at least 47 of them were killed by the hunters who took part in the operation.
Police in Niger assassinate a notorious informant and three others.
The Niger Special Vigilante Corps was recently established by the state government (NSVC).
The group, which has the support of the police, was formed to streamline the activities of local security groups.
The police and members of the NSCV have been conducting joint raids on criminals.

Meanwhile, in Niger, a notorious informant, Buba Baromi, was shot and killed by a police anti-banditry team.
After hunters led the police to Baromi’s hideout in Damba forest, he was killed.
He’d gone into hiding to recover from a gunshot wound he’d received earlier in a gunfight with security operatives.
According to a source, Baromi was not only an informant, but he also led bandits to attack and kidnap targets.
