Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State, has been advised to stay in the Labour Party (LP) by Shehu Sani, a former federal legislator.
Keep in mind that Obi was the Labour Party’s (LP) 2023 presidential candidate.
Following President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar, who ran on the platforms of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC), respectively, he finished third.
But since the last election, the Labour Party has seen a number of internal problems, with two groups vying for control of the organization.
After the leadership contest, Obi has been at the center of conversations about the party’s future.

In spite of these obstacles, Obi has remained in the LP and distanced himself from recent rumors that he would join the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a member of an opposition alliance in the run-up to the general elections in 2027.
Peter Obi’s Birthday Advice From Shehu Sani
Sani, a former senator from Kaduna State, joined the host of Nigerians in celebrating Obi’s 64th birthday on Saturday (today) and suggested that the former governor think about remaining in the Labour Party.
“To Mr. Peter Obi, happy birthday. Hold your labor, I say; you know it’s the Devil. On his official 𝕏 Twitter, Sani stated, “Don’t chase two rabbits at the same time,” advising Obi to refrain from changing platforms in light of the current political unpredictability.
