Senior lecturer, Ayodele Ojediran slumps, dies in his office

Senior lecturer Ayodele Isaac Ojediran of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, is said to have fallen and died in his office on Tuesday.

Ojediran passed out and was taken to the university clinic right away, but he did not survive.

A close colleague of the deceased, Ayodeji Obisesan, confirmed the incident by writing on his Facebook page: “Such a very humble and nice man to the core.” Always ready to assist. God will grant us the strength to endure this immense loss, as well as your friends, family, coworkers, and associates. Dr. Ojediran Isaac Ayodele, may your soul rest in eternal peace.

The school decided not to release an official statement because, according to Abiodun Olarewaju, the public relations officer, the incident was very sad.
