The governors of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) have received congratulations from Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal on their Supreme Court triumph.
The legal disputes stemming from the governorship elections held on March 18, 2023 were resolved by the supreme court on Friday.
Nonetheless, it confirmed the triumph of the impacted PDP governors: Umo Eno (Akwa Ibom), Dauda Lawal (Zamfara), Bala Mohammed (Bauchi), and Caleb Mutfwang (Plateau).
Following the outcome, Tambuwal—the former head of the Nigerian Governors Forum—sent the governors a note of congratulations.
“I offer my sincere congratulations to H.E. Bala Mohammed, H.E. Caleb Mutfwang, H.E. Dauda Lawal, and H.E. Umo Eno on the Supreme Court of Nigeria’s affirmation of their victory,” he said.
“May this victory herald unprecedented development for the good people of Bauchi, Plateau, Zamfara, and Akwa Ibom states, respectively,” stated the former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) Governors’ Forum.
