Former Kaduna Central Senatorial District Senator Shehu Sani listed twelve issues that negatively impact education in Northern Nigeria, with insecurity ranking worst.
Senator Sani stated in a confirmed Facebook post on Monday that there are significant obstacles due to terrorism, banditry, and insecurity, as well as inadequate infrastructure.

In his words, “the systematic continuation of the street Almajiri system, neglect, misplacement, and mismanagement of resources by successive governments, as well as cultural and religious barriers, low funding, poverty, teacher shortages, child labor, discrimination against girls, low access to technology, health challenges, and the growing number of people living with disabilities.”
He went on to say that these problems need immediate response.
