Sen. Kabiru Gaya has asserted that the ascension of Sen. Bola Tinubu to the position of President-elect of Nigeria is God’s answer to the prayers of the people of the country for trustworthy leadership.
This statement was made by him while he was chatting with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday night during a joint prayer session that was arranged by the APC Stakeholders Forum.
Tinubu’s antecedents, which he amassed during his two years as governor of Lagos State, are public knowledge, according to Gaya, who represents the Kano-South Senatorial District in the Senate. He made this claim.
He expressed optimism that if he could recreate what he accomplished in Lagos State in terms of infrastructure and expand the state’s economy in spite of the evident odds, Nigeria would be a better place for everyone. He was referring to the fact that he had grown the economy of the state.
Gaya pointed out that Sen. Kashim Shettima, the Vice President-elect, had put in a lot of effort while serving as governor of Borno for two terms, during which he dealt with issues of insecurity that had been causing problems for the state.
Tinubu and Shettima, in the opinion of the lawmaker, constitute an ideal pairing that had the potential to propel Nigeria to greater heights and make it the object of envy for other countries.
“I am sure God will guide them to bring in professionals as cabinet members to work with and form a good government in the interest of the country and its citizens,” he added. “I am sure God will guide them to bring in place a good government in the interest of the country and its citizens.”
Also speaking was retired Colonel Abudumumini Aminu, Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the forum. He explained that the purpose of the joint prayer session, which was attended by people of many religious faiths, was to pray for the incoming administration to have a good term in office.
He stated that it was also to pray for the unity of the nation, for peace, for advancement, and for the growth of the country.
In particular, he praised all of the party stakeholders who had fought to achieve the party’s victory at the polls. He also mentioned that the purpose of the event was to pray for God’s intervention and to place the next administration in His hands.
He thanked those people from all of the states of the federation who travelled to be there and said that God would honour their efforts, sacrifices, and prayers for a better Nigeria by answering those prayers and making Nigeria a better place.
At the occasion, which was attended by traditional rulers, members of the Diplomatic Corps, and religious leaders, Alhaji Sulaiman Argungu, the APC National Organising Secretary, spoke on behalf of Sen. Abdullahi Adamu, the party’s national chairman.

During the event, prayers were offered asking for God’s unique wisdom to be bestowed onto the incoming administration, as well as for the continued growth, peace, and unity of the nation.
Some of the participants who took the time to speak with NAN suggested that similar prayer gatherings should be held on a more frequent basis in order to pray for the nation and its leadership.
According to NAN, Tinubu will reportedly take his oath of office on Monday.
A new president of Nigeria is sworn into office with a ceremony known as the inauguration, which marks the beginning of their four-year term.
The presidential oath of office is traditionally administered during this ceremony, which takes place approximately 90 to 95 days following the conclusion of the presidential election.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Shehu Shagari’s first inauguration took place on October 1, 1979, which was the same day that Nigeria gained her independence.
Every single inauguration that has taken place since the start of the fourth republic in 1999 has taken place on May 29.
The most recent presidential inauguration took place on May 29, 2019, as President Muhammadu Buhari began his second term in office. The event was hosted in the White House.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the sole component of this ceremony that is stipulated by the Constitution of Nigeria is the recitation of the presidential oath of office.
The official presidential oath of office in Nigeria is administered by the Chief Justice of the country.
