The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared SENATE President Ahmed Lawan the victor of the Yobe North Senatorial District (INEC).
Professor Omolola Aduloje, the returning officer for Yobe North, from the Federal University’s Gashua, Bade Local Government, announced the results.

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) received 91,318 votes, according to the returning officer, defeating Ilu Alhaji-Bello of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who received 22,849 votes.
As a result, she declared Lawan the victor of the Yobe North Senate race.
After Lawan, who did not vote in the Yobe North senatorial primary, received the APC’s nomination for the position after failing to secure the presidential ticket, concerns were raised.

He emerged the APC senatorial candidate through a Supreme Court ruling, after a running battle with Bashir Machina, who won the party’s primary election.
