21 of President Bola Tinubu’s nominees for appointment as Federal Commissioners for the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) were approved by the Senate on Wednesday during its plenary session.
The affirmation came after the chairman, Senator Abdullahi Yahaya Abubakar (Kebbi North), reviewed the Joint Committee on National Planning and Economic Affairs and Finance report.

-That the Joint Committee on National Planning and Economic Affairs and Finance report on the confirmation of the nominees for appointment as Federal Commissioners in the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) be received by the Senate and taken into consideration.

The following people were confirmed by the Senate to serve as Federal Commissioners of RMAFC: Mrs. Linda Nkechi Oti from Abia State; Mr. Akpan Imo Effiong from Akwa-Ibom State; Mr. Enefe Ekene from Anambra State; Professor Steve Ugbah from Benue State; Chief Eyo Noa Whiley from Cross River State; Araviere Egharhevwe from Delta State; Nduka Henry Awuregu from Ebonyi State; Mr. Victor Eboigbe from Edo State; Hon. Wumi Ogunlola from Ekiti State; and Hon. Ozo Obumreme Obodougo from Enugu State were also confirmed.
The others are: Mr. Mohammed Kabeer Usman from Gome state; Hon. Adamu Fanda from Kano state; Professor Olusegun Adekunle Wright from Lagos state; Aliyu Almakura Abdulkadir from Nasarawa state; Bako Shetima from Niger state; Mr. Amosun Akeem Akintaye from Ogun state; Dr. Nathaniel Adojutelegan from Ondo state; Hon. Said Bello Ibrahim from Plateau state; Ms. Modu Aji Zulure from Yobe state; and Bello Rabiu Garba FCNS from Zamfara are the others.
Godswill Akpabio, the president of the Senate, commended those who were confirmed and urged them to act as honorable “ambassadors of your states with integrity.”
