Carter passed away when he was 96 years old.
In a statement that was made public on Sunday at 2:10 pm, the Carter Center, the couple’s non-profit organization, provided the public with the official confirmation of her passing away.
Rosalynn Carter, who was known for being a strong advocate for mental health, caring, and women’s rights, passed away at her residence in Plains, Georgia, accompanied by her family. She was 92 years old.
“On Sunday, November 19, at 2:10 p.m., at her home in Plains, Georgia, former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, who was a dedicated champion of mental health, caring, and women’s rights, passed away. She was 96 years old. The Carter Center reported that she passed away peacefully with her family by her side.
